Rachael Meecham, the owner of Silver Tail Foot Care is a qualified HCPC registered Podiatrist, fully insured, and CRB-checked. She completed her Podiatry degree at Plymouth University. Rachael trained and practiced in the NHS for over 6 years. The last 4 years Rachael has been in private practice. Rachael has a passion for dermatology and has done further training to be able to preform specialised nail surgery’s and skin surgery on the foot.
Rachaels aim for Silver Tail Foot Care is to provided excellent evidence based, up to date foot care in her clinic on the farm or in the comfort of your own home. Plus helping you to look after your feet so you can maintain comfort, mobility, and independence.
In 2019 Louise began her podiatry career within the NHS where she met and worked with Rachael, Sean and Richard. This gave Louise the experience and foundation to train as a Foot Heath Practitioner which she completed in 2024.
Louise works self employed 2 days for Silver Tail Foot Care, 2 days for another podiatry clinic and 1 day for herself.
Before her career in podiatry Louise worked in Hydrotherapy, been a swimming instructor, a street theatre agent and made jewellery.
Louise lives with her husband and children on Dartmoor and enjoys wild swimming and walking the moors.
Rich and Sean started S.R Foot and ankle Clinc in 2025. Rich has been working in the NHS as for the last 15 years. He specialises in treating all types of foot and ankle pain and has a passion for biomechanics. He gained his MSc in Clinical biomechanics in 2014 and in 2022 completed his PhD in optimising insoles to reduce foot ulceration in the diabetic population. Rich combines his clinical work with research, and loves to share his knowledge and enthusiasm. Rich has particular expertise in sports injuries, gait analysis, rehabilitation and insoles/orthoses prescription.
Sean and Rich started S.R Foot and ankle Clinc in 2025. Sean also has been working in the NHS for 13 years and specialises in biomechanics and offloading the diabetic foot. Sean gained his MSc in Clinical Biomechanics in 2020 and gained further master's level qualifications in corticosteroid injection therapy, and foot and ankle ultrasound. He also gained accreditation as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner in 2024. Sean has always had a keen interest in biomechanics, including, sports injuries, lower limb running form, foot and ankle pain and offloading the diabetic foot. He enjoys sharing this passion with others, both in his clinical work and, where he has experience in teaching colleagues, students, and staff across professions.
